There is something ineffably renewing about receiving seeds…
Have you ever looked forward to receiving something in the mail? A package? Love letter? A check? Then, when you received it, you were likely to be pleasantly surprised rather than delightfully enthralled? Or, perhaps, on the other hand, even irritated or disappointed?
I don’t know about you, but i am more likely to be disappointed, for my imagination runs wild in its anticipatory machinations. HOWEVER… in this rare case, I was amazed, no indeed enthralled with my delivery from Blackbird Naturals.
Now mind you, my expectations had been minimal… And true to form, there in the mailbox a nondescript little manila envelope of no particular import.
But, upon tearing it open and attempting to pour out the contents, i was stymied, for there tightly nestled within, lay my precious cargo carefully, artfully and beautifully wrapped..

come enclosed in a beautiful wooden box with sliding lid. This presentation is vaguely reminiscent
of the ancient Japanese art of gift wrapping, where the containers and wrappings are almost equally as
cherished as the gift within. The time, the love and attention to detail is truly a gift in itself.
I am deeply pleased with my wild and organic seeds. I can think of nothing more natural and beneficial
to ourselves, to our planet. Granted, I’m a seed lover from way back. For in each inert little kernel lies
the hope of our future, our food, our sustenance, the very seed of life itself.
