NEW RECIPE FOR BEST & HEALTHIEST GREEN SMOOTHIE DRINK RECIPE
Ingredients
1/2 c. frozen organic fresh fruit such as apples, pears, mangoes, peaches, non-acidic
1 sm. banana or 2/3 large banana
1 sm. sweet organic apple, quartered
1 sweet organic carrot, chopped
2 lg. medjool organic dates, chopped, pits removed
1 lg. packed handful or 1 cup organic dandelion greens, pressed down lightly.
3 – 5 lg. leaves or 6 – 10 small leaves of organic Romaine lettuce
1 to 2 cups water for blending
INSTRUCTIONS
Put in blender in this order: mangoes, carrot, dates, chopped apple, 1 cup pure water. (We like ours slightly chunky – we blend for only 15 seconds with the Oster Blender. Vitamix and Blendtec may be even faster) The dates may cause “bumpy” blending for just a bit.
Add dandelions, Romaine and more water if necessary, blend until smooth.
We enjoy adding other greens – especially a bit of organic arugula and cilantro for a bit of spice. You can also add 1/2 sweet orange, peeled. Some people like adding a dash of cinnamon (very good) or lemon and ginger. We recommend keeping it simple.

Serves 1 Hungry Appetite Or Two Smaller Appetites
Ingredients
Greens
Choose at least 3 of the following greens.
1 Large handful fresh spinach
4 Large romaine leaves OR
7 Small romaine leaves
3 Large green leaf lettuce leaves OR
6 Small green leaf leaves
3 Medium dino kale leaves
3 Dandelion greens
Fruit
1/2 Fresh or 1/2 cup frozen chunks mango (optional)
(Frozen mangoes provide sweet deliciousness –
Available at Trader Joe’s and the grocery stores)
1 Apple
1 Orange, peeled
1 Pear
2 Large ripe bananas
Vegetables
2 Medium carrots
Water
1 – 2 Cups water (You can substitute 1/2 fresh coconut water or apple juice)
Instructions
Blend the carrots first to creamy consistency with 1 cup of water. Then add fruit and leaves and blend until smooth, adding more water as needed. Finally, add greens. Blend in batches if you have a lower power blender. Absolutely delicious.
You can vary the recipe according to taste. Have fun with it! You can add raw fresh yogurt, fresh raw organic milk, fresh or frozen berries, raw organic egg yok with whites removed, fresh raw wheatgerm, ginger, garlic, turmeric, dash of cinnamon.
But, the basic recipe is the simplest to digest and easy for the body to assimilate. If one has particular sensitivity and special needs, they might consider using a juicer rather than a blender.
“Drink with gusto and go back to the days of the heirloom shimmy shimmy shake! Why, stand back and watch as you grow younger, even more gorgeous, and spry as a meadowlark in Spring!” ; )
Enjoy! 😀
